Privacy Policy
Fishing Social Media API helps business owners connect authorized Google Business Profile, Google Maps, Facebook Page, Instagram business, and similar social media data to websites built or managed for them.
Information We Collect
When a business owner authorizes an integration, we may collect account identifiers, business profile identifiers, page identifiers, OAuth access tokens, OAuth refresh tokens, requested permission scopes, authorization status, and connection timestamps.
Depending on the integration enabled by the business owner, we may access business profile information, location information, ratings, reviews, public posts, media, captions, thumbnails, timestamps, profile/page names, and related public business content needed to display approved website features.
We may also collect technical information such as website domain, client site key, server logs, IP address, browser/user agent, request timestamps, and error logs to operate and secure the service.
How We Use Information
We use connected account data only to provide and maintain customer-approved website features, including review displays, map or place information, social media feeds, troubleshooting, security, abuse prevention, and service support.
We do not use Google, Facebook, Instagram, or other connected account data for advertising, retargeting, credit decisions, data brokerage, or selling user data.
Google API Data
Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We request only the Google permissions needed to connect a business owner’s Google Business Profile and display authorized business information or reviews on customer-approved websites.
How We Share Information
We may share connected business content with the websites authorized by the business owner so those websites can display reviews, social feeds, maps, or business information. We may also share information with hosting, infrastructure, security, or support providers who help us operate the service, or when required by law.
We do not sell connected account data or transfer it to unrelated third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
Storage And Security
Credentials and access tokens are stored server-side and outside the public website folder. We use HTTPS, access controls, private server storage, and other reasonable safeguards designed to protect connected account data from unauthorized access.
Retention And Deletion
We keep connected account data only as long as needed to provide the service, maintain the customer relationship, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or protect the service. Cached API responses and logs may be retained for a limited period for performance, troubleshooting, and security.
A business owner may request disconnection or deletion by contacting us. After disconnection, we will stop using the connected account tokens and will delete or de-identify stored connected account data unless we need to retain limited records for legal, billing, security, or operational reasons.
Your Choices
You may revoke Google access from your Google Account permissions page. You may revoke Facebook or Instagram access from Meta Business settings or connected business integrations. You can also contact us at dakins@defynepay.com to request help disconnecting an account or deleting connected data.
Children
This service is intended for business use and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes to how connected account data is used, we will update this page and, when appropriate, request renewed consent.
